Giving HOPE One Bag At A Time
On March 6, 2025, Jessica F. Simmons published an article on the Virginia Dogwood website highlighting the efforts of the H.O.P.E. Foundation in addressing menstrual equity in Virginia schools. The article discusses how, despite the 2020 mandate requiring Virginia public schools to provide free menstrual products for students in grades 5-12, the lack of allocated funding has left many schools unable to comply. This gap has led to students resorting to inadequate solutions or missing school.
On Monday, February 5th, our passionate founder, Kishka Gooden, took the airwaves by storm as she shared the inspiring mission of H.O.P.E. Foundation on the popular 101.1 The Fam radio station. In an engaging conversation with the host of the Dinner Plate show, Kishka discussed our commitment to providing essential hygiene items to those in need, detailing the impact H.O.P.E. Foundation has made in the community. This radio appearance not only showcased our dedication to making a positive difference but also spread awareness about the importance of supporting our cause. We're grateful for the opportunity to amplify our message and extend our reach, furthering our mission of empowering dignity through hygiene.

The impact of the HOPE Foundation's efforts reached even greater heights on August 5th, 2023. The organization's exceptional work was recognized and highlighted on prominent media platforms, specifically WTVR-6 news and 101.1 The Fam Radio Station.
